On April 12, Mallory Dahlgren earned the gold medal at the SkillsUSA Pennsylvania State competition. Dahlgren is a junior in the Corry High School cosmetology program. She competed in the CTE Demonstration category, where she had to teach a mini lesson in her field of study and do a mini demonstration along with it.
The SkillsUSA event she competed in had over 1,800 students competing in all CTE classes/trade and provides students from all over the state the opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge for multiple colleges and business.
Dahlgren said, “The trip was a lot of fun and an amazing learning experience. I am glad I got to compete in such a special event and it made me feel better that my best friend Delaney Nickerson came with me.”
