Sadie Swartzfager is an eighth-grade student here at CAMHS. She has lived in Corry and gone to Corry schools her whole life. She has two siblings, Emma and Jacob, 21 and 19. Her dad is the middle school principal, and her mom owns a store here in Corry. Sadie really looks up to her dad because of all he has been through. At home she has three dogs and one cat. In the future her ideal life would be living somewhere in the Fort LeBoeuf area with a career in healthcare.
When asked what was one thing she couldn’t live without, Sadie said her phone. Her favorite color is pink, and her favorite movie is, “The Miracle Season.” Sadie’s idea of a perfect date is to go to the movies. Her favorite class is Mrs. DePaul’s because she feels like she could talk to her about anything. Zach Bryan is her favorite artist, but if she could go to any concert Sadie would go to a Drake concert. Her biggest pet peeve is when people talk over others. Colleen Hoover is her favorite author. Sadie’s ideal Valentine’s Day gift would be flowers and spiders are her biggest fear.
Some things Sadie likes to do are skiing, four-wheeling, and hunting. Her usual weekend plans are volleyball tournaments or hanging out with friends. Along with playing middle-back for volleyball, Sadie also throws shot put and discus for the Corry Middle School Track Team. Her go-to coffee order is an iced coffee double double, two shots caramel, with cold foam. Her favorite place to shop is American Eagle and one of Sadie’s favorite memories is when her brother bought her, him, her mom, and her sister all tickets to go to Texas. If she had to choose a last meal it would be Chick-Fil-A.
A few fun facts about Sadie are that she once went 48 hours without sleeping, and she believes in ghosts. If she were to time travel to any time she would go to the future to see the evolution of technology. One thing most readers may not know is that she doesn’t like chocolate and she has been to Mexico.
If Sadie was trapped on an island with three people she would choose to be stuck with her friends Katie, Lauren, and Chloe. When asked what animal she would be based on her personality she said a dog because she’s usually friendly to everyone. If she had to listen to one album only for the rest of her life it would be “Fearless (Taylor’s Version).” If Sadie could be any character she would be Rachel from the show “Friends.” If she ever won the lottery the first thing she would buy is Sol De Janeiro.
I was very happy to get to know Sadie better by interviewing her. She is a very sweet girl and has such a warm heart. When asked what words she would like to leave her readers with she said, “Don’t let people decide your fate”.
