On Friday, December 15, the Corry boys basketball and cheerleader seniors were celebrated. The game was home against the Maplewood Tigers, with the times being JV at 6 p.m., senior festivities at 7 p.m., and the game at 7:30.

Senior night started off with the basketball players getting called out and walking side by side with their parents as their future plans were announced. Then the cheerleaders were called out one by one, walking side by side with their parents and having their futures also announced. The information that was announced was: where they plan to attend college, what they plan to major in, what their favorite memory was, and advice to underclassmen.

There are four senior basketball players: #4 Tavon Kornikoski, #15 Markus Lambert, #21 Jack Albers, and #23 Rylan Smith. There are also four basketball cheerleaders: Madison Braswell, Kylynn Deane, Kyla Frisina, and Ayla Richardson.

Each one of the Seniors were asked the question, “What are thoughts and feelings on senior night?” They answered:

Tavon Kornikoski: “Senior night went great and I got some nice pictures with my dad and the team.”

Rylan Smith: “Glad we were able to get a win in front of a big crowd.”

Markus Lambert: “It was fun and I’m glad to have finally been the senior standing out on the court, just sad it was a little early this year. I always preferred close games so it was a little disappointing from that standpoint.”

Jack Albers: “Wish I could’ve played (out with medical). I thought it was put together, and it was fun.”

Kylynn Deane: “Sad that I’m gonna graduate and leave.”

Kyla Frisina: “It all started to kick in that I’m leaving.”

Madison Braswell: “Glad I’ve had all the years of experience, but sad that I’m leaving. I am going to come back and watch games though.”

The starting line-up for the Beavers was: senior forward #4 Tavon Kornikoski, senior forward #15 Markus Lambert, senior guard #23 Rylan Smith, junior point guard #3 Karson Chamberlin, and sophomore guard #2 Kamdyn Moon.

The starting line up for the Tigers was: #1 Senior guard Elliot Beuchat,#2 Freshman forward Kyle Jordan, #10 Sophomore guard Liam Mcarnal, #25 freshman forward Chase Koelle, and #32 senior forward #32 Jacob Woge.

Going into half-time the Beavers had a huge lead of 36-12. For the first two quarters the Beavers made a majority of their shots, and had good effective defense. During half-time the cheerleaders performed their dance and some of their cheers. There were many stunts, especially new ones being shown throughout their routine.

In the last quarter, with two minutes left, all the seniors were subbed off the court, and underclassmen who will be the new Varsity team for next year were put in.
