Jennilee Ostrander: A cheerful, helpful, and very kind new teacher at Corry Area Middle-High School. Ostrander was born on April 7. For most of her life she lived in Corry. Before she moved here she lived in Union City until she was six years old. Ostrander lived with her brother and sister when she was younger. Her siblings are now 25 and 27 years old. She now has a husband and family of her own.
When she was in school and college, she went to Corry High School and went to Edinburgh College. When she was in school her favorite subject was English. Not because she loved to learn about English, although she did love to read and write, but besides the fact, she loved English among all other subjects because she liked the English teachers and how they taught. She did not do many sports because she didn’t like the sport life and was not athletic, which is kind of ironic because now she loves to run. She was a cheerleader, only because she didn’t take a gym class and had no credits for gym. If she didn’t get the credits she was not going to be able to graduate if she didn’t do a sport or take gym. After college, she became a preschool teacher, but decided to take another rout and work for the high school. This is her first year working for the Corry high school.
When Ostrander was a child she knew that she wanted be a teacher because when she was in school she loved the teachers and knew she wanted to be like them. When she got a little older from now, she plans to keep doing what she is doing now and keep teaching.
She has a small hobby farm that she would like to add more animals to as she gets older. She has many hobbies and things she loves such as, the “Labyrinth” movie and she loves the color black. She does not have a favorite song, but she does listen to all kinds of songs.
Ostrander likes to go camping in her camper, hang out and read a book. If she were to go on a vacation she would like to go to the beach or anywhere warm because she does not like the cold. When she goes on a date with her husband, she would like everything about the date to be planned by him because she is the one that always plans everything.
Ostrander does not have many pet peeves, but the one she does have is, “When other people make me late for things. I hate being late, I like to get there early.”
When asked to give a piece of advice for the readers she responded with, “Be where your feet are, and enjoy what you’re doing,” which means life goes by fast, go where you want and enjoy what you are doing.
