[Correction: At the time of publication, this story gave the wrong record for the Corry Beavers volleyball team as 10-0. The correct record was 11-0.]

On Thursday, October 12, the 10-0 Corry Beavers volleyball team had an intense face-off against the 8-3 LeBoeuf Bison. Playing at the Beaver Dam, the girls were ready to show up, which led to a big 3-0 win, although the game was expected to go to the 5th set.

Thursday was a packed night for Corry sports due to there being a volleyball game, football game and girls soccer game. The big highlight of the night was the volleyball game because of how well the team played. Even though they were expected to go to 5 sets, the volleyball team pulled through and won in 3 sets, with the last set’s score being 25-10.

A big part in the win was definitely the coaching. In the third set a timeout was called by LeBoeuf. Coach Kelly used the timeout call to his advantage and helped the Beavers to pull through and hold LeBoeuf to only score one more point in the set.

Next week the Beavers head to head against North East, who have Cadence Jones who is #5 in the state for kills. The Grape Pickers are currently 13-0, and the Beavers are now 11-0.
