Taylor Swift toured America this past summer, spending multiple nights performing in over 20 cities. This tour broke records, and locally, she broke the attendance record for any event ever held in Pittsburgh. Not only in Pittsburgh, but in every city she performed, every seat in the stadium was sold out and there were thousands of fans outside of the stadium trying to listen and get the full experience. She even had so many fans dancing so hard that in Seattle, the stadium was moving so much that a 2.3 magnitude earthquake broke out through the city!
If you were one of the many fans who did not get lucky enough to experience such a great show, you now get to: Taylor Swift is bringing her tour to the big screen near you. “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” is a 3-hour long recording of her entire concert. Fans now can witness this historical pop culture event in theaters, and for a cheaper price than concert tickets.
Screenings start playing Friday, October 13. Prices for tickets are $19.89 for adults, and $13.13 for kids. See what she did there? 1989 is the name of her fifth studio album, and 13 is the date she was born. Cinemas will be selling Taylor Swift souvenir popcorn buckets and cups.
Fans are treating the movie like the actual concert, dressing up in cute outfits, merch, or famous outfits Taylor has worn herself. This reporter will be attending the movie on opening night, so stay tuned for an honest review.
