This coming Saturday, May 6, there will be the SATs taking place at Corry High.

The SAT is a standard test that measures a student’s skill in three core areas: Critical Reading, Math and Writing. Students have the opportunity to take the SAT in their junior (11th) and senior (12th) grade year. After students take the test they are able to take their score and submit it to colleges as part of the college application process.

In order to take the test students have to pay $60. All students are instructed to be at the school at 7:45 Saturday morning. The test will then take place in the school Cafeteria. The SAT test takes approximately three hours with breaks included.

Although not all states require SAT scores for college, it is still very important to take this test because there are twenty-five states that do require your SAT scores. If you have a solid test score it will help your application stand out when applying to colleges.
