This month’s “Girl of the Month” is Tayler Elchynski, the senior class secretary. Elchynski is also the NHS Vice President. She has been a four year volleyball letter earner. She has also been a four year girls basketball letter earner, as well as a three year girls basketball captain. 

When asked what Tayler’s reaction was when she found out that she was chosen, she said, “I was very honored and excited to be the girl of the month. It’s an awesome feeling to be recognized for my hard work!” 

She was then asked why she thinks she got chosen, Elchynski then responded,“ I think I was chosen because of my dedication to my school work and extracurriculars. School is very important to me and I am always pushing myself to do the best that I can do in everything I do.”

Every month there is a “Girl of the Month” and a ”Boy of the Month” who gets spotlighted in our local newspaper, The Corry Journal.  Mrs. Bourgoine, who is in charge of collecting girl nominees, said the winner is chosen by a committee of high school teachers and is honored by the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
