On Wednesday, January 4, students in grades 10-12 were invited to watch the Varsity wrestling match that took place during 6th and 7th period. Parents were also allowed to watch their children wrestle in the match. Freshmen were not allowed to attend because there would not be enough seats. It was held in the old gym and it was against the Union City Bears.

The students were released from their classes at 1:30, getting called down by grade. Varsity went first followed by JV, and middle school followed. The match went past school hours, so students weren’t able to see all of the middle school wrestle.

The Beavers took the win, the final score being 56-15. The Union City Bears only had a few wrestlers and had to forfeit many of their matches.

The following athletes won their match: Steven Willis, Mason Savitz, Ethan Allen, Trey Proper, Cody Proper, and Kael Albers. The following athletes lost their match; Wyatt Swan, Nolan Carey, and Lewis Hellyer. Will Allen, Isaiah Bayle, Marcus Meredith, and Owen Nickerson all won by forfeit.
