Superstore is honestly one of the funniest shows I’ve watched in a while. It was created by Justin Spitzer, who worked on “The Office” (so you know it’s going to be funny). It first aired on NBC November 30, 2015, and ran for six seasons.
It’s like if your local Walmart had a TV show, but way funnier. The show is centered around the crew at Cloud 9, a big-box store, and it’s a wild ride from start to finish. We get to learn as a viewer about characters such as the lovable Jonah and the sarcastic Dina, who is basically the store’s weird mom. When watching you get to experience laughs, drama, family skits, and relatable moments you may have yourself about working retail.
When watching, it’s about enjoying each episode, but you might find yourself cheering for the employees and maybe even questioning your life decisions after seeing how chaotic their shifts get. This show is so easy to binge watch when you have time, so I definitely recommend it.
It has been one of the funniest shows out there and it’s not getting enough shine as it should. But it’s not just about the jokes—there are tons of relatable moments, too, like dealing with ridiculous customers or trying to survive your shift without losing it. The show also digs into some real issues, like work drama and relationships, so I suggest you tune in as soon as possible.
I would rate this show as a 4.5/5 stars.
