As the end of the school year approaches, students were surveyed on what they were most excited for as the school year comes to an end. After months of hard work, assignments, and early mornings, this time of the year feels like a reward for all the efforts put in.
When asked the question, “What are you most excited about for the end of the school year?” a variety of meaningful and relatable responses emerge.
A larger number of students expressed excitement for summer vacations: 11/30 of those surveyed mentions what they are most excited for is their vacations planned for summer. After months of tests and busy schedules, the idea of having time to relax is highly appealing.
Another common response focused on end-of-year events. Many seniors who were surveyed said that Decision Day is what they are most looking forward to. Fifteen out of the 30 students that were surveyed were seniors. And eight out of the 15 seniors said that they were most excited about Decision Day.
Students also share excitement about prom. During second semester, students all look forward to prom. Seven students said that they are super excited for prom, and can’t wait. Maddie Goodwill mentioned, “I am most excited for singing and dancing at prom. I’m ready for May 8 to get here.”
There were a couple random answers like: senior skip day, graduation, and the last week of school.
