As the holiday season approaches, families start returning to the rituals that make this time of year feel truly special. From decorating the tree to baking cookies, these traditions don’t just mark the season—they make it. Certain traditions have been special to many families over the years, but here are some favorites from individuals of the Corry Area High School.
After asking several people about their favorite traditions they were most commonly about family, gifts, and decorating. Sydney Mineo said her favorite thing was “Christmas Eve dinner and movies with family.” Mr. Bailey and Rachel Moats also said doing things with family.
The idea of gift exchanging was big, too. Landon Habrouck said “doing Secret Santa with family” was his favorite. Officer Bleicher said his favorite thing is “watching people open gifts that I bought for them.”
Overall, The Christmas season is full of things to be excited for. Everyone has different traditions they share with the people around them, whether it’s a common tradition or not. The people we interviewed showed that in the greatest way by saying so many different things.
Christmas is all about the joy of doing things you love whether that is being around family, decorating, or exchanging gifts.
