[Disclaimer: This is not to bring light to criminal activity and is under a full sense of the fictional world. There is no intention to praise any type of criminal, instead, this is an opinion-based story made up of only fictional criminals]
All around the world, criminals live, from bank robbers to serial killers, kidnappers and dealers. They not only live in the real world, but also the fictional realm. Here are my top 10 favorite fictional criminals.
10. Jesse Pinkman (Breaking Bad)
The notorious partner to Walter White, Pinkman is a drug dealer who works alongside White. I have never watched the show, but he is a very well-known fictional criminal, so I decided to add him at the end.
9. Walter White (Breaking Bad)
The main centerpiece to the Breaking Bad franchise, Walter White is a chemistry professor that learns to use his techniques to make meth and sell it, later discovering he has cancer and sadly passing away. I couldn’t make this list without him, but I definitely have better picks being that I’ve never watched the show.
8. Dr. Harrison Wells (Eobard Thawne Version/The Flash)
Why exactly might he be on the list, well I’m not talking about the actual Harrison Wells, but the one who disguised as him, Eobard Thawne, the arch nemesis of Barry Allen (The Flash). Thawne is a notorious speedster and villain, killing people close to Allen and finding ways to manipulate and control Allen’s life. I wouldn’t consider him a criminal in a full sense of how I talk about what a criminal is, as I find difference between a criminal and a villain, but still decided to add him to the list.
7. Agent 47 (Hitman)
Agent 47, also prototype 47, is a genetically enhanced human who hunts down crime lords for his association IO. I’ve always loved the video game series and watched the movies. He’s a unique character in general, with him remembering memories despite him being resetted, and in the games having many outcomes for the player.
6. Kingpin (Spider-Man)
Crime Lord of New York, Kingpin is a notorious mafia boss, running the streets. An enemy of not only Spider-Man, but also Daredevil and The Punisher. Kingpin is a unique character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, being he’s one of the few villains that doesn’t have powers. Being a powerful mafia boss, he’s definitely a criminal at heart.
5. Homelander (The Boys)
The leader of the Seven, Homelander is one of my favorite villains. His narcissistic and selfish personality fits well with a criminal mind. He’s committed many crimes including killing and kidnapping. Anthony Starr did a good job playing the character and he’s honestly one of my favorite villains.
4. Frank Castle (The Punisher)
One of the greatest revenge characters I feel, Castle had some awesome scenes, and his motives are fully understandable, to a certain extent. Castle goes to quite the extent of killing the ones that murdered his family, including blowing up an entire car lot and building.
3. The Man From Toronto (Same Name)
The Man From Toronto, a highly wanted individual, is by far one of my favorite criminals. His Dodge and affection towards it gives his character a little sympathy. His kills in the movie are quite interesting.
2. Patrick Bateman (American Psycho)
One I feel many did not expect to show up on the list is New York’s fabulous Mr. Bateman. Living a double life as a highly known professional by day, to a mental unwell killer by night. Bateman’s axe scene definitely was my favorite, and I couldn’t make this list without him.
1. Dexter Morgan (Dexter)
At number one, I picked another double-life character – from one of my favorite series, “Dexter”, a series about a forensic blood splatter analyst for the Miami-Metro Police Department, but in his spare time, he’s a serial killer that hunts other killers that have evaded the justice system. Morgan has been one of my favorite characters from the series, and I feel he is my number one favorite fictional criminal.
