You may have heard of those toy monkeys with the cymbals, but wait until you find out about this cursed monkey.

“The Monkey” is a horror/comedy movie that was released on February 21, 2025. This movie is about twin brothers who find a mysterious wind-up Monkey. Every time they wind up the monkey, an outrageous new death randomly happens. Time skips to 25 years later, and the monkey begins a new killing spree. The twins are set out to defeat the curse, and hopefully bring this all to an end.

I would say that Theo James, who plays Hal, did a great job portraying the character. I really enjoyed his performance, and I would say he is a great actor. I also really enjoyed the comedy of the movie. There were a lot of comedy elements, but there were also some emotional scenes. I really enjoyed the horror aspect as well. I wouldn’t say it was full-on horrifying, but it did have scary parts.

I would say that I really enjoyed the movie. If you like horror/comedy movies, then you would love this one. I definitely recommend it. The movie is rated R though, so watch at your own risk.
