This year’s track season has gotten off to a really successful start. From beating new records, 1st place finishes, and new opportunities for athletes, Corry is killing it this year.
Blake Cook and Marleigh Martin beat two new records at the Brookville Invitational. Martin beat the triple jump record by jumping 36’4″, surpassing the record Grace Allen set. Allen came right behind her in 2nd place.
Cook set a new PR of 38.60 in the 300m hurdles, breaking both a Brookville and Corry High School record. Gavin Kent, Brynley Watrous, and Morgan Martin all set a new personal best at the invitational, also.
With about three weeks left of track, the team has a lot more accomplishments waiting for them. This is one of the best track seasons for Corry High School that has a lot of best athletes of all time, creating new friendships, special memories, and a ton of success.
Senior night is Tuesday, April 29, if anyone wants to come out and support them for one of their last meets. The next home track meet after that is May 1. Come out and watch if you can, their hard work and dedication to their sport is truly incredible.
