I’ve always thought that school should start later, especially for students like me. It’s really hard to get up early in the morning, and I’m always tired during first period. I’m not the only one who feels this way— many of my friends agree.
Studies have shown that teenagers need more sleep because our brains work better when we’re well-rested. If school started later, we’d be able to focus more and actually learn better instead of struggling to stay awake.
Besides, getting up so early leaves me with little time to get ready, eat breakfast, or even relax before rushing off to school. I think starting at least an hour later would give us a chance to be more prepared for the day and feel less stressed. When I’m tired, I can’t concentrate, and that just makes school harder than it needs to be.
In my opinion, if schools pushed back their start time, it would make a huge difference for students. We’d be more alert, happier, and even more productive. It just makes sense— if we had more sleep, we’d be more ready to take on the day and do our best. It’s something worth considering for the future.
