Most humans often don’t like the winter time
It’s cold, snowy, icey, and gets dark early
Humans dread the time change
And the bad weather
But what we don’t do is appreciate
Appreciate the way the snow can still make it light out
Appreciate the way the snow sparkles in light
Appreciate the season change
Humans also dread the darkness of life
The hard parts, the rough patches, the loss
But what we can also do is appreciate the dark parts of life
What comes with hard parts is also strength
What comes with rough patches is better days
And what comes with loss is peace
So next time instead of dreading, appreciate
