Jerry Wellman has had a long time dream of being a successful Rancher. His dreams came true when he ended up inheriting his father’s land when he passed. The land was absolutely perfect for a ranch. The land was vast and fertile, perfect for raising good cattle. By doing some renovations and a little maintenance, Jerry turned his father’s property into his own ranch.
Over the years his ranch became very successful, avoiding any debt and a shut down. The 80,000 acre ranch raised some of the best cattle and became very well known for its Quarter Horse Stallions being some of the best in the West. Jerry is living out his lifelong dream and is happy with the way things are going. There doesn’t seem to be anything stopping Jerry’s Ranch from growing into the number one ranch in the world.
A little ways down the road John Elliot, a successful Oilfield Foreman has been drilling next to Jerry’s land for the entire time that Jerry was farming. The Forman was given a location to put a rig and the location was in the heart of Jerry’s Land. The oil rig would damage land and cattle, but the owner of the oil company persisted on this spot because it seemed to be a hot spot for oil.
Jerry and a bunch of wranglers were pushing cattle from field 3 to field 8, when they got to field 8, John was sitting on his horse across the fence.
“Hey, Jerry, I have a deal that you can deny!” shouted John from a distance.
“What’s the deal?” mumbled Jerry.
“You give me some of your land and I make you rich,” John answered .
“No,” Jerry simply stated.
“Jerry don’t make me come back and take it by force,” John threatened.
“Use all the force you want, I’m not scared,” Jerry responded.
John rides away on his horse and goes back to his estate to plan a way to take the land by force. John calls his cousins from Kansas to come up and help take care of a deal for him. The cousins decided it was smart to help our family, so they traveled to Montana to help John try and seal the deal. John and his family rode to the fence line, but when they arrived Jerry had a cavalry lined up and John was shaken but it was too late. One of John’s men shot at one of Jerry’s men and it exploded into all out war. Impressively, John and his family are holding their own and are fighting back. Jerry’s men are just too strong and John and his family retreated and some family members were left behind. Jerry was furious because one of the family members shot and killed his best friend. He had to avenge his best friend and get revenge on John and the family.
Jerry gathers his cavalry and plots a plan to wipe out the whole family. Night falls, Jerry and the cavalry are fixing their horses to go and end this once and for all. They ride to John’s estate only to see John on the porch by himself. The family left and went back to Kansas, and Jerry decided it was now just between him and John, so he told his cavalry to leave. John begged for forgiveness but Jerry wasn’t budging.
“Let’s go for a ride John!” Jerry hollered.
“Where? Please don’t kill me,” John begged.
“Well I wouldn’t have to if you would have never tried to steal my land! We are going to the station!” Jerry screamed.
“No please!” John pleaded.
“Get in the truck,” Jerry said calmly.
John got in the truck and Jerry started driving.
“What station are we going to?” asked John.
“The never ending one,” John said so calmly.
Jerry wasn’t really driving him to the station; he was going to a very deserted cliff. He parked the car on the side of the road and told him to get out. John tried to fight back but was too weak. Jerry killed John and Jerry’s final words to John were, “Don’t you ever mess with a hillbilly.”
