On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, the Corry Beavers faced the Union City Bears in a wrestling match. The match started at 1:15 p.m. and ended around 2:50 p.m. The Corry High School had an assembly for the high school students to watch the match. The score of the match was 54-11, meaning the Corry Beavers emerged victorious.

Getting to watch the match during school was exciting. Students got to get out of class and just relax and watch a match. It also gave some students, who can’t make it during the normal times, to watch the matches. For me personally, I would say that it was exciting. This was the first year that I got to actually watch instead of cheering. I got to watch the Wrestling cheerleaders cheer, and got to watch their performance. I also got to actually watch and pay attention to the match.

From what I could see I think a lot of people enjoyed it. You could hear people yelling from the stands, and just cheering for their school. The cheerleaders also looked like they had such a fun time getting to cheer in front of everyone and to just cheer on their team. Both teams did a great job, but I’m very proud that the Beavers won. The boys did a great job, and so did the cheerleaders.
