Mr. Sposato, the new 7th and 8th grade math teacher, was just chosen for the Golden Apple Award. The Golden Apple Award is an award that is chosen by the students who vote for a teacher they think deserve it. The students vote for that teacher if they have a good, engaging teaching style and overall based on how they treat their students.
Middle schooler Ava Evans voted for Mr. Sposato. Mr. Sposato says he is very surprised and feels very honored considering this is his very first year teaching.
Sposato said, “I’ve never heard of it before, so I didn’t realize how big of a deal it was, but I am in shock because I didn’t expect this award my first year teaching.”
A piece of advice he would give upcoming teachers is to be patient through ups and downs and be open and welcoming.
