Corry High School is filled to the brim with many students. There are so many, that I don’t think I can count! However, for this spotlight, I selected an individual who is an incredibly talented and kindhearted person. This person brings smiles and laughter into a darkened room. Her name is Angelica Cressley. Angelica (Angie), is a senior here at Corry High School. She was born March 23, 2007, and lives right here in Corry. Angie said that when she gets some free time, she enjoys playing with her dogs, as well as listening to music. When asked if she had any siblings, she answered that she has two older siblings. An older sister, Lauryn who is 21, and an older brother, Brian who is 19. Angie said that if she was to go to any place, she would definitely go to Vermont to go to the White Christmas museum, where the musical film was supposed to be set.
When asked what her favorite movie was, Angie responded with the film “Pitch Perfect 2” instantly. I could have seen that coming! Anyone who knows Angie, knows that she loves the “Pitch Perfect” movies! She also said that her favorite song was “High” by Stephen Sanchez. Her favorite color is yellow, and it matches her incredibly bubbly personality! And of course, her favorite emotion is happiness. Who doesn’t want to be happy? I then asked her if she had any upcoming vacations or trips planned, and she said that she will be going back to Disney World for her senior trip in June.
Angie said she does not have a specific favorite quote, but she said that any quote from Barbra Streisand would do just fine, so take a look at some things she has to say.
Out of all the animals out there in the world, Angie said that the animal she thinks she relates to the most is a monkey. Her ideal vacation is a place that has tons of things to do. Angie explained that she can’t stand to be still for very long, and loves to constantly be on her feet. Her idea of a perfect date is some popcorn and a movie, perhaps “Pitch Perfect 2”?
I asked her out of all the classes she has had or has, what her favorite was and she said that her favorite was Earth Science, taught by Mr. Kerr. I’ve heard her say lots of great things about Mr. Kerr as well. Angie’s favorite food is Cajun chicken pasta, which sounds really good. It makes my stomach growl just thinking about it!
Angie participates in multiple different sports such as softball, cheer, and roller derby. Angie also stated that her biggest pet peeve is when someone chews with their mouths open, or if they are a loud drinker. She just can’t stand it!
As the interview came to close, I asked Angie if she had any words of wisdom for the readers and she replied with, “Don’t let people define you.”
