Once again this year, members of the Beaver Tales staff were asked to share their favorite holiday songs and a few words about why they love it. Please enjoy this eclectic mix of music as we head into the winter break:
Hailee Allen: Mistletoe by Justin Bieber. I like this artist and I think this song has more of a unique perspective on Christmas. It’s a good song in general.
Audrey Baker: My favorite holiday song is Last Christmas by Taylor Swift because it always puts me in the Christmas mood.
Abigail Bruner: I’ll Be Home For Christmas by Bing Crosby. I like this song it has a special meaning for me because my family will always take off work to spend time with family and it means the world to spend time with them.
Taige Eastman: It’s the most wonderful time of the year by Andy Williams. Just because it is a mellow song that is good for background music and is a Christmas song that isn’t annoying.
Sara Fox: I’ll be Home – Megan Trainer. I like this song because it is not the top song that everyone usually goes for. I also like it because of the melody and its catchy tune. Although this may be a red flag, it does get stuck in my head a lot and it becomes very easy to sing which is nice.
Shelby Fox: My favorite Christmas song would be Here Comes Santa Claus by Elvis Presley. I chose this song as my favorite because I love the person who sings it. I also love the raspy tone of his voice and it just makes it good song to listen to. Also it is my favorite because every time I go Christmas shopping I play it all the time in the car and it just gives off a good vibe when celebrating Christmas.

Lily Kent: My favorite Christmas song is ” All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey. I love her voice and how high she can sing. I also like the lyrics, they are very catchy.
Kenzie Knight: Silent Night – Taylor Swift This is my favorite Christmas song because it just brings me nostalgic memories of Christmas when I was a little kid. I also love her rendition of a classic. The song is just so magical and it always gets me in the spirit.
Lily Light: My favorite Christmas song is “Underneath the Tree” by Kelly Clarkson. I love the beat of this song.
Jenna Martin: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas by Michael Bublé.
Grady Mosher: A Christmas Song – Nat King Cole.
Mac Ricketts: My favorite holiday song is “White Christmas” by Taylor Swift. It is my favorite because I performed a Christmas dance to it and it brings me back good memories.

Brooklyn Taylor: My favorite Christmas song is Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas by Frank Sinatra because I love Frank Sinatra!
Aiden Williams: “12 Pains of Christmas” – [1987] Bob Rivers. This song has a different take on Christmas from its stereotypical “jolly-ness.” I like it because it’s funny and highlights the not-so-joyous parts of the holiday season in a fun way.
