Fortnite is a popular battle royale game that was released on July 21, 2017. For me this game is very fun, and at times it can be frustrating to play with all of the really good players. There are 10 guns that I consider the best in the game in the new OG mode they have added, giving a nostalgic experience, and I ranked them below. 

10. Rocket Launcher 

 The rocket launcher is a decent weapon to have in-game, which can easily destroy opponents’ builds. It has a reload rate of .75 and only has one shot, but on the upside, if you hit your opponent, you’ll have an almost automatic elimination with 116 damage. This gun is a good choice for the endgame when you need to destroy other players’ builds. 

9. Grenade Launcher 

 The grenade launcher is very beneficial against people who aren’t good at building. The damage this weapon does is 105 with a reload rate of one with six shots in total before reload. It is beneficial if you have another weapon to fall back on with this weapon to finish the job when they are low if you waste all six shots without eliminating them. 

8. Tactical Sub-machine Gun

This weapon is only useful when the enemy players don’t have any shield because it does 16 damage per hit, which is terrible in the field with a critical of 28. This weapon I commonly use when everyone first drops, but once it gets into the endgame, the tactical sub-machine gun is not an effective weapon. 

7. Pistol 

 The pistol is heavily underrated since it is fully automatic, so as fast as you click, you will fire. This weapon is best at close range; you won’t do much from long range. It does 24 damage per hit, and its fire rate is 6.75, which is one of the fastest weapons in the game, making for easy kills as long as the person you are fighting doesn’t have too much shield. 

 6. Scoped Assault Rifle 

 I really enjoy this weapon when first landing in as long as you’re on a little hill because you can eliminate people from out of the air before they even have a chance to drop. The amount of damage the scoped assault rifle does is 31 damage with a fire rate of two and a magazine size of 20, making for enough shots to eliminate the opposing player out of the air. 

 5. Bolt-Action Sniper 

The bolt-action sniper is an amazing choice for the endgame in the final circles. When other opponents are fighting, you can snipe them out for an easy win. It does 99 damage with a magazine size of one and a reload rate of .75, but do not let this fool you; it can give you many advantages over unsuspecting people. 

4. The Burst Assault Rifle

 This is a very underrated weapon in the game. A legendary burst does 37 damage per hit with a critical hit damage of 55.5, which makes for easy kills. The only downside of the burst is that it’s not the best weapon unless it is legendary or blue because the common does 31 damage per hit, but critical is only 46.5, which you may need to finish off the player with a different weapon.

  3. Tactical Shotgun 

 This is one of the best close-ranged weapons in the game and eliminates people very fast. It does 77 damage and has a fire rate of 1.5 with a magazine size of 8. If you want to win close-range battles, this weapon is for you because of its speed.

 2. Pump Shotgun 

 This is the absolute best shotgun in the entire game ever since they added the double pump feature back into the game. The pump does 99 damage with a slow fire rate of 0.7 and a magazine size of five, but don’t let this fool you; this weapon can still pack a punch on opposing players.

 1. Scar 

This is the best assault rifle in the game. Even if it’s long-range, it is highly accurate and deals a lot of damage. The amount of damage the SCAR does is 98, and it has an incredible fire rate of 5.5 and a reload rate of 2.8. In having this weapon, you almost ensure your victory as long as you can hit your shots.
