The final record for the team was 10-7-2. It was a great season, and there were many amazing moments from the games. There were seven seniors who were recognized for their incredible playing. There were also seven awards that were handed out during the banquet: leadership, offensive player of the year, defensive player of the year, rookie of the year, heart and hustle, most improved, and play maker.
To start off, Delaney Nickerson got two awards which were, leadership and defense player of the year, for her quick decisions and leadership on and off the field. Marleigh Martin got offense player of the year, because of her excellent playing as wing. Rookie of the year was given to freshman Allie Simmonsen, as she started every game this year and did amazing on defense. Mahra Goodwill was given the award heart and hustle due to her speed on the field as forward and wing. Most improved was awarded to Ellie Curtis as she continued to constantly improve throughout the season. Lastly, Morgan Martin was given play maker, due to her ability to make quick decisions that always helped improve the game.
Everyone did great this year, and the team ended off with a great record. We are sad to be losing the seniors as they were a huge part of the team. We are excited to see how the new freshman will play as they will add new energy and skill to the team next year.
