What school rule should we set that everyone must follow, and why?

We wanted to see what the teachers thought we could do to make this school a better place. So we had asked 25 faculty members what is one school rule they believe that should be set that everyone must follow, and why? We specifically asked teachers this question because students will just make excuses so that they wouldn’t get in trouble. Also, teachers have pretty good answers and some of them are just silly.

Miss Agnew- you have to take a quiet hour long break to read every day because reading is good for you and it’s fun.

Mr. Brumagin- when people walk past my classroom they should say “hello Mr. President” because it just makes sense.

Mr. Buona- if you get behind on homework you get detention because it gives you time to do it.

Mrs. Braswell- When you make eye contact with someone you have to say hi and smile because it can make someone’s day better.

Mrs. Pound- everyone must bring teachers food on Mondays because it makes sense.

Mr. Potocki- no cell phones in school, because it would make teaching easier.

Mrs. Rutkowski- if you are more than two minutes late to class you get in big trouble because she’s tired of people being late.

Mrs. Frisina- all children must shower at least every other day because it’s good hygiene.

Ms. Grubbs- Everyone should be involved in an activity because it makes people happy.

Mrs. Demarco- no phones because everyone is addicted to them and kids need a break.

Mr. Silka- safety is very important and kids shouldn’t have to worry about it, and also hoods down.

Mr. Lesher- students should never annoy Lesher.

Mr. Carney- school uniforms are needed to take the decision away from what kids wear.

Mr. Woods- the golden rule everyone should be nice to each other and make it a better place.

Mr. Brady- no backpacks you don’t need to carry your stuff around.

Mrs. Carey- everyone should have a study hall so students can get caught up.

Mr. Sposato- no computer games.

Mr. Bayhurst- no phone because it distracts from students education.

Mr. McCray- everyone must pick their own theme song and have to sing it if they are late.

Mr. Benzel- no phone because they are dumb.

Mr. Jackman – if you are late to class that’s an automatic detention.

Mr. Sopranio- if you have ear buds they get taken from you.

Mrs. Thier- no phones during class time, I want students to interact with each other.

Mr. Hogue- no shenanigans.

Mr. Coats- be kind to each other.
