Carrie Geist was born on March 4, 1984 and she grew up in Erie PA. If she had to pick an emotion she would be happy since she is so joyful. She has wonderful children, a 16 year old son and a 12 year old son as well. She grew up as the middle child of four kids, she has an older sister, older brother and a younger brother. Before starting her current career she worked as an aid in support classrooms and as a substitute teacher. She had the opportunity to be a science teacher first for upward bound and now is an academic specialist and has been for about ten years now. When asking for her reasoning for doing this job is because she liked working with kids and smaller groups of students because it makes her feel more connected with them.
When she is not working she is very outdoorsy and loves spending time with her children. She mentioned doing mystery games with her older son. She also likes going for a hike with her younger son because he is very appreciative of going into nature since he likes animals. When learning about Carrie I found that she likes to watch movies that make you think kind of like psychological thrillers. She enjoys singing and going for nice jogs when the weather is nice. Since loving nice weather her dream travel destination is going to Greece because she finds the beaches there to be so beautiful.
When asking Carrie her favorite movie she said Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. She liked this movie so much that when it came time to pick a senior quote in high school she was inspired by this movie and chose this quote to be her favorite ¨A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.¨
