As most know, Netflix held a live event with Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul. Due to the confrontations and talks beforehand, many fans expected a knockout to happen Saturday night, but expectations were not met, and Jake Paul won by unanimous decision.

Jake Paul is known for his nasty uppercut and swings to the side of the head, which is accountable for his 7 knockout wins. During the Tyson vs. Paul fight, there were times where he made some good swings, but it only knocked Mike Tyson off his balance. Some say that Jake Paul was holding back, but I believe due to Mike’s tough defense, it was hard to really get an effective hit.

Tyson on the other hand is known for being one of the most legendary boxers to exist, with 44 knockouts  mainly due to his quick and heavy blows. But during the recent fight he only landed 18 punches in total and that leads to another speculation that Tyson also wasn’t showing his full potential. Looking from a statistical standpoint it makes sense; he is 58 years old and had other problems earlier in the year, which also could have effected performance

Many also believed that Tyson was going to show his more animal side that he tended to show in previous matches. Tyson was happy that he was able to last all eight rounds at his age, which shows that he might not be as good as he used to be, but he is still a good boxer in my opinion and although he isn’t the best now, he was one of the best boxers back in his day.

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are good friends and ended on a good note at the end of the fight. But on the side note Tyson challenged Jake’s brother Logan Paul. Another thing to add is that Netflix made the whole event an outrage due to many technical difficulties, especially during the main event.
