It was the morning of Thanksgiving and everyone was really busy. The mother was finishing up the cooking, the father was taking care of the baby, and the children were playing with toys in their room. Everything was going fine, and everything was under control.
A little later, probably around noon or so, the doorbell rang. The dad went and answered it, there standing was his parents. He told them they could come in, and that dinner should be done in a couple hours. His parents sat down, and they put on the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Parade. As time went on more of their family members started showing up.
Finally it was time for dinner. Everyone sat around the table, and the mother brought everything out on the table. She sat down, but then realized she forgot to set the turkey out. She stood up, and then realized she left it in the oven. She grabbed a couple pot holders, one in each hand, and grabbed the turkey out of the oven. As she took out the turkey, she saw that it was burnt. She set it down on the counter and began to cry. She worked all day on that turkey, just for it to come out burnt. The father got up and comforted the mother. He told her it was okay, and that they can still eat it.
Everyone sat back down, and started dishing out their portions. Everyone took a piece of the turkey, and just cut off the burnt parts. They all said that they enjoyed the turkey, and that made the mother very happy. Everyone enjoyed the rest of their dinner, and the rest of their day. Everything became better and Thanksgiving had no longer “gone wrong.”
