The Beavers ended the regular season with a record of 8-2 with their win over the Oil City Oilers.
The Beavers led the Oilers the entire game until #4 Cole Findlay threw a five-yard touchdown to number 6 Dawan Cruz with only four minutes left in the game, but the Beavers put together a perfect drive and punched the ball into the end zone with a game winning 18 yard passing touchdown from #9 Nolan Carey to #1 Keaton Frisina. This is the first time the Beavers have ended the season with a 8-2 record since 2012 when Homer DeLattre was the head coach.
The Beavers will face off against the Fort LeBoeuf Bison in the first round of the playoffs on Friday November 1 at War Memorial Field in Warren, PA.
The Beavers faced the Bison in week 3 of the regular season, but the Beavers took a tough 19-13 loss in a very rainy game.
When asking some of the Beavers football players what their thoughts were when seeing they had the chance to play the Bison again, they said “We can’t wait for this rematch game, it won’t even be close,” seeing that they are determined to beat the Bison.
