A pleasant and accomplished man who is always hard at work, Michael Woods, born in Erie, Pennsylvania, grew up learning in the Erie School District.
Woods graduated from Academy High School and pursued college at Edinboro University, earning his BA in education and his MA in education. Woods is married to his wife Valerie and will be celebrating his 20th anniversary. He has two terrific children, Sydney and Colton.
Michael has been teaching here for 25 years and in the same room, room 37. He has taught many social studies courses and coaches several sports such as track and field, cross country, and basketball.
Mr. Woods enjoys corn beef hash, chicken wings, and mushrooms. His biggest pet peeve is that he has pet peeves. Mr. Woods’ favorite drink is, and he quotes, “Coffee, coffee, and coffee.”
During his free time he enjoys walking his Irish Setter Golden Retriever. He also enjoys reading the science fiction genre and is currently reading Branden Sanderson. His favorite band is Chicago, and if he were to listen to any music he loves any music before the 1990s.
