The Esports club has gotten more equipment this year (with more on its way) and they plan to make it a lot more fun this year for everyone involved.
Esports is mostly run by the officers Kayne Proctor, Sylas Bryan, Connor Vanco, and this reporter, but our advisors Mr. McGinnity, Mr. McBriar, and Mr. Gibson make it all happen. Whether you are or want to be in Esports keep reading to find out more.
If you didn’t show up to the first Esports meeting of the year then you missed out on seeing all the new equipment because our Esports team finally got five laptops, three X-Boxes (with three more on the way), and two new Ninteno Switches (with more coming). This also leads to new games like Rocket League and more to come after a few more meetings.
Our Esports officers have also decided to get teams for our Rocket League tournaments that will face other schools this year. So if you decide you want to show up and try out, stay tuned in to the news for more info.
Esports has also added new members that were not around before, and we welcome more people to join, but the officers now have the ability to restrict students who don’t participate, and if it happens enough, then outright ban them. All and all, this new equipment has gotten our Esports club a lot of benefits and closer to becoming more official and facing other schools.
