Video Games are everywhere nowadays. Constantly being designed or updated. Now what usually makes a video game good you ask? Personally, I feel it’s the characters and lore behind the games. I myself am a video game developer, creating a video game through my company TryHardGamingIncorporated©. The main video game I’m working on is a battle royale called L.A.W.Z. (Long After the World of the Zodiacs). The game is set in the year 2685, after the universe collided with other universes and changed the way history was made. The battle royale is full of a lot of lore and characters, so I decided to rank my favorite characters along with a little about them.
- Shadow Baron Creep
Yep, Shadow is his real name. Shadow is one of the oldest characters in the game, being one of the first characters created in the timeline. Although his actual age is unknown, he is around 49 years old in human years. Shadow was one of the initial main villains (alongside John Walker) of this battle royale, but has been switched to more of a major villain. Shadow has two sons, his oldest being Harley Creep (Guy) and youngest being Clyde Victo Creep/Marley. Shadow is an actual paranormal entity who watches over the “Shadow Realm” as his youngest does too. My favorite quote from him would have to be, “Shadows are always below you, Reflections are behind you, Fate is what you walk into, Destiny is what’s on you.” Shadow was a recently designed character by me and my team. Since he isn’t fully developed, I put him at number 10, but since he was an initial villain I wanted to include him on the list.
- Kian Valorui Protocol (Nickname: Time Perrior)
Kian is one of two originally designed characters that were revamped in a major way (the other being Skull Cage – Lester Nacalaster). Kian was born as a Fusion and Valorus though since he works as an agent, he’s had to constantly switch his name. Kian is roughly 32 years old, part demonic, and works for an organization called R.I.T.E. Their main enemy is Z.E.C. (Zodiac of Evil Consolidation). Kian’s main enemy is Benjimin Snickett, a part of Z.E.C. Kian has two children, his oldest being Sage Copper Fusion (The most powerful in the L.U. -L.A.W.Z. Universe) and his youngest being Kira Eskar Wayne. Kian receives the nickname Time Perrior referencing the prefix pre- meaning through (hence through time). My favorite quote from Kian is “Take another shot for the memory.” Kian was put at number nine because there are so many more powerful and lore-written characters in the L.U.
- Lester Peril Nacalaster (Nickname: Skull Cage/Cage)
No, I’m not talking about Lester from “GTA V.” This is the first ever developed character in my game (though he’s been tweaked since I first made him). Lester has a sad backstory. Lester, born in Boston, Massachusetts, is 70 years old (at the time of the game’s timeline – the year being 2685) with one kid, Brianna Maryanne Nacalaster (Age: 36). Lester spent half of his life in jail after being framed by some criminals. Lester made it out on bail after some time in jail. Lester went to look for his daughter, but his home was sold and the locals had no clue where they were. Lester gave up and felt he no longer had a purpose in life, but he still wanted to do something good for society. He decided to participate in an experiment that would have made his bones stronger, the experiment would have worked if black (blue) holes didn’t appear and suck him in. When Lester awoke, he found himself in the custody of the L.U. version of Blackbeard, and himself as a walking skeleton, taking on the nickname Skull Cage. My favorite quote from Lester is “Villains gain power from their hatred and love, while heroes gain their power from their losses and gains.” Lester was chosen for the number eight spot because he’s only a seasonal villain in the game, and not much is known about him.
- Themisto Sirius Wolf (Voiced by: Noah Swan)
Themisto is one of the latest designed characters of my game. His name comes from one of Jupiter’s moons, his middle name comes from the brightest star in the sky, and his last name is a type of moon. Now as you can probably guess, Themisto is somehow related to space. Themisto is one of the oldest S.S.U.V.A. characters in the game, and was one of the characters that helped put together the zodiacs/zodiac signs. Themisto is able to control space, planets, stars, comets, shooting stars, and much more. Themisto is a very intelligent 34-year-old man, who actually is a solar system himself, as his heart is a star, his brain is a black hole (not in literal terms), and his soul is a universe. He is able to speak any language, even an alien language (yes, aliens do exist in this game). Themisto has a daughter named Lyra-Red Nebula Wolf, and a son named Aero Glister Wolf. My favorite quote from Themisto is “No matter how big the multiverse is, I also seem to be guided back by the people that matter most to me.” I placed Themisto at number seven because he is the most recently made character, but I like space and all, I mean the game has the word ‘Zodiac’ in it. Space has always made me feel more distant from reality and brought me closer to myself, so that’s why I placed Themisto at number 7.
- Coeyhn Nicolaus Wright (Nicknamed: Reptomonic/Voiced by: Jacob Gagola)
Coeyhn was one of the final members introduced in S.S.U.V.A. Coehyn comes from a lineage of Russian and German bloodlines. Coehyn hosts a talk show named the “Convict Complementary” in which he – along with celebrity guests – talk about different inmates and serial killers. Any news involving a criminal is brought up on his show. Coehyn is also a book writer, writing his own series called “Flende’s” a horror series that talks about real instances mixed with a bit of fright to it. Coehyn has a secret about his books though, when he was little, he was given the power to make his writings become reality. Coehyn was forced to lock away his original work of “Flende’s” and having to have another author rewrite them to be released, though his originals broke out after being taken to the L.U., wrecking havoc on the people. Coehyn was also in a terrible accident around his teenage years: his arms had to be removed, but Coehyn proposed getting half robotic arms, the doctors agreed and between Coehyn’s elbow and wrist, implanted was robotic arms. Within the robotic arms are gems – located in the fold of his elbow – the gems come from a techno flower called a Repto flower, Coehyn was given the nickname Reptomonic based on the flower by Jaron. My favorite quote from Coehyn is, “You don’t get memories from being alone, you must learn to belong and cherish with others.” I placed Coehyn at number 6 because one of my best friends (Jacob Gagola) voices him, and his overall character brings the whole game together, especially in S.S.U.V.A.
- Alexander Ochi Truman (Nicknamed: Xero)
Alexander Truman, best known as Xero is a 22 year old adult who has had a rough past. Alex’s father (Grok) was kicked out when he was only 8 years old. He grew up with his mother (Olivia Truman), step-father (Gary Pin/Truman), and his three triplet step-brothers (Radar, Signal, and Disc). Alex was born with Atrial Fibrillation (a condition which causes the heart to beat faster than normal), Alex’s father (A god) created an artificial art nicknaming it B.R.U.S.E. (Breaching Round Unidentified Strange Eye) B.R.U.S.E. managed to keep Alex alive and even is the L.U.’s source of power. Alex worked for a technology firm, in which he was the best employee there. Alex worked on developing futuristic technology, creating his own suit. Alex though, was gonna have another “condition”, accidentally taking an injection nicknamed Bound Xero, that gave him some powers – even though he was a god and had some powers – this affected him greatly, as B.R.U.S.E. was also affected. Alex went into a coma for two years, and once he woke up, he was fitted into a fish bowl like helmet. Once powered on, the helmet greatly pained Alex for awhile, and purple fog filled it, along with lightning and tiny blue and yellow particles. Jaron found out about Alex through Grok, the two met and became great friends. Once the time came, Alex joined S.S.U.V.A. and took on the name Xero after the injection’s name and the ability that he was even still alive. My favorite quote from Alexander is, “You would rather chase your dreams than to have your nightmares chase you.” I placed Alexander at number 5 because this guy is a brute. He’s survived so much trauma and is still making it through to benefit this society.
- Dane Elijah Unify/Truman (Nicknamed: Unifeli)
Dane Unify is one of the most notorious villains within the L.U. Dane is the uncle of Xero and related to the “Main Four Brothers” including him, Stephen Truman (Grok), John Walker (Ferrior), and Krakun Truman. Dane was featured on the ‘Bachelorette’ as one of the bachelors. He won over her (Crystal) and ended up marrying her. They together had two children, Malachi Unify and Courage Unify, Crystal also had another son named Sage Fusion with her ex-husband Kian Protocol, and Unifeli had his own son named Terry Unify (Anthernopodic), this happened through Dane’s powers. Dane is a god, along with his brothers, but Dane was the mischief among them, and never used his powers for good. He used them for his own gain and got carried away and took the same injection his nephew took (Bound Xero) this gave him the power as if he were a computer glitch or virus. With this power he’d be able to morph into any shape or person, manipulate reality, phase through dimensions, universes, etc. and a whole lot more. Dane became more evil with this power, even to the point of having his wife join in his violence, Dane was too overtaken by it and accidentally killed his son Malachi, and he lived with the guilt. A whole organization was created just to stop him, and he was trapped with a pickaxe and within dealt with the nightmares of his son. He broke out and took on the name Unifeli (Uni- from his name, Feli from the word felicitate, meaning to offer congratulations, emphasizing the praise he has in himself). Unifeli planned madness and caused destruction, hoping that no one would ever forget him unlike how he forgot about his life while creating violence. I placed Unifeli at number 4 because he’s a new kind of god, a virus/glitch mixed with his powers of a god and demonic bloodlines.
- Erron Bourne Aster (Nicknamed: Bloodbourne Aster)
Erron has one of the best backstories in the L.U. Erron is a hero, villain, anti-hero, and an anti-villain all in one. Erron is a “re-born” of Alex Aster (main character of Brendan Archer’s story, Dragon’s Dogma). When Alex was 16, his heart was taken by a dragon (hence the title), something happened and caused Erron to be created, though he wouldn’t be a physical form until 2000 years after the incident. Erron was M.D.I.D. (Multi-Dysfunctional Identity Disorder) similar to the actual condition, D.I.D. (Dissociative Identity Disorder) except Erron’s hair/eye color change, his voice changes, his tastes and IQ change, scars/tattoos/etc. are added and changed, his allergies change, and his powers can also change depending on which “identity” is brought out. He is also immortal as if he is killed while one identity, only that identity is killed, while he lives on as another. Erron is able to “experience” visions of Alex’s experiences, either past or present experiences. Erron is known for a Dymegaproversal being meaning:
Someone/Something who is simply “Programmed” to not be able to do anything, but they are nonexistent to understand them/be controlled by them, that they are able to do everything extended onto unthinkable actions. They defy the process of existing and are able to exist while also not at the same time.
I placed Erron at number 3 because he’s a type of character you don’t see often: he’s gone from a hero, to anti, to villain. From Erron also comes a bloodline of powerful gods that aren’t even from the same universe, so to have multiple universes in this game is insane (Note: 5,005 Universes, and every game TryHard designs is a separate universe).
- Sage Copper Fusion
Sage Fusion is one – if not the most – powerful character in the L.U. Sage was born to father Kian Protocol/Fusion/Wayne and mother Crystal Fusion/Unify. Sage is also a hero, villain, anti-hero, and anti-villain like Erron Aster. Though Sage was forced into all of them. Sage was given the power referred to as “movement” meaning any action he does – from snapping his fingers to breakdown dancing – it causes him to react in some way and be able to erase or create things. Sage has a step sister named Kira Wayne, a half-demonic and half-angel-like girl. Sage is a descendant of three major bloodlines, those being Valorus, Creep, and Turlin/Peterson families. Not much is known about Sage, other than his family and his powers, though he is part of a group nicknamed the 6 Metal Middles, better known as the Syn Syx Syndicate, a group of humans known for having middle/last names named after elements, this group included Kalden Silver Creekford (S.S.U.V.A. member), Roxanne Diamond Law, Ashton Kyler Ironwood, Stingx Cobalt Kettlar, Alexander Lichen Bronze, and Levi Platinum Rein. I placed Sage at number 2 because he has a newly discovered condition that only four people in the entire game have and he comes from a bloodline that has many main characters.
- Crounus Marcellus Valorus (Nicknamed: Countainium/Voiced by Brendan Archer)/ Jaron VII Peterson (Nicknamed: Redshot/Voiced by: This Reporter)
There are so many great characters within L.A.W.Z. and I just could decide on one, so I limited myself to just two, that being Crounus Marcellus Valorus and Jaron VII Peterson.
Crounus Marcellus Valorus is the prince (King at age 13) of Valorui Kingdom. Crounus was born with a condition (that all men in the Valorus bloodline get) that turns his hair white. Crounus is 33 years old, being born on June 14, 2652, in Exodore, Europe, to his father Zarnos Valorus and his mother Valorus/Marcellus. Crounus was mainly raised by his step-father, Markus Marcellus, but Markus was assassinated by a Z.E.C. informant (on his one year anniversary of being an official king), Crounus taking over the kingdom at age 13. Crounus fought in World War VII (7) and traveled to America to claim land for his Kingdom. Crounus met Jaron while in America and joined his organization, S.S.U.V.A. (Secret Society Uncovering Void Agency). Crounus’ power source comes from Seltizer Rocks (Just like his father), Seltizer Rocks come in different colors and have unique abilities, Crounus’ allows him to control Time and create portals between universes. Crounus always seems angry, but really is a humble guy. Crounus has 2 children, his son, Jacob Conroy Valorus, and his daughter, Kathleen Izzy Valorus. My favorite quote from Crounus is “How long do you plan to fight, in that PRIMITIVE body of yours!?!”
Jaron VII Peterson – born as Jaron VIInce Turlin – is the prince of the Underworld (being half-demonic – Father: Havenson Turlin, Mother: Athenalorius Turlin), Jaron had to grow up in Develic, Alaska because he was being hunted by an assassin named The Fourseerior (informant of Z.E.C.), who has been hunting him since the day he was born. Jaron is 37 years old and served in the military from age 16 to 20. Though he was caught in an explosion, causing him to be brought home. Jaron was told of a prophecy by a god named Grok (Xero’s father) that something badly was gonna happen. Jaron though took some time to spend with his wife Brianna Nacalaster, and his 4 kids – oldest to youngest – Katherine Peterson (17-22), Ashley Myers King/Peterson (15-20/ Adopted), Colin Peterson (13-18), and Isabelle Peterson (8-13). Jaron was also born with 5 other siblings (him being the 2nd oldest), those being – oldest to youngest – Kang Turlin, Lila Turlin, Mikceal (Pronounced just like Micheal) Turlin, Harmony Turlin/Halo, and his adopted brother, Maroon Halo. After 5 years of the initial prophecy, Jaron was once again asked by Grok to do something about it, this time Jaron was committed. Jaron created the organization S.S.U.V.A. (Secret Society Uncovering Void Agency), with the following characters involved:
- Alexander Ochi Truman (Xero)
- Ivory Lee O’Neil (Aviatrix)
- Erebus Baltimore Riner (Blaze)
- Greu Ophientime Belson (Farceur)
- Brianna Maryanne Nacalaster (Turrent)
- Lorto Ethan Walker (Innovator)
- Tenath Hide Ryder (Asthphault)
- Ian William Atkins (Rekil)
- Crounus Marcellus Valorus (Countainium)
- Ashley Myers King/Peterson (Crix/Ashe)
- Ikerean Tone Salter (P.H.D.E.) (Planetorial Health Domestic Enthusiast)
- Wallen Stiron Faltor (Arranger)
- Deane Grace Shaw (Chameleon)
- Amirey Elizabeth Walker (None)
- Julie Marie Beckett (Miracle)
- Eliana May Mynara (Heir to Mynara Kingdom)
- Kalden Silver Creekford (Gotham/Theodoore Gotham/Thomas Archer)
- Barney Leveran Rhodes (Father Death, Son of Death, Scythe, Pynk)
- Clyde Victo Creep/Marley (Shadow Clyde)
- Kathleen Izzy Valorus (Karmal)
- Themisto Sirius Wolf (Planetorial)
- Renance Amor Walker (Rolove)
- Coehyn Nicoluas Wright (Reptomonic)
- Carter Falcon Keep (Zipline)
- Laroi Arthur Wheelwright (Whiplash)
- Willow Summer Cloflake (Veiry)
- Harmony Helen Halo (Complexity)
- Camryce Carol Luck (Formation)
- Russell Ruckus Parker (Vonsta)
- Jacquelynne Merekite Ryder (Castper)
- Kahn Clayton Karnick (Costen)
Jaron is the character I play – meaning I designed him and voice for him – and is one of the most influential characters in the game. My favorite quote from him is “High hanging stakes are always gonna be around, don’t expect that nothing bad is gonna happen with a simple job, the world is unmeasurable in terms of what it’s gonna do.”
