The world was a sad, dark place until January 15, 2009, when a kind hearted, funny girl named Harper Vanderhoof was gifted into the world. Like many of our fellow students, she has grown up in Corry PA, and has attended Corry High School. Harper always puts others before herself, especially when it comes to her family. Harper has 2 siblings, a brother named Grady, and a step brother named Adan.
When I asked Harper about her current job at KCs, she explained how she enjoys it very much. I went on, and asked her how she got her job. She responded with, “I ate and left no crumbs.” Of course I laughed, and continued interviewing her. She said how one day she wishes to become an intelligence analyst for the FBI. This suits her personality very well, and she will become very successful. If Harper Vanderhoof can do anything, then we certainly can as well.
Throughout this interview, Harper kept eye contact well, and was very relatable. She has a lot of humor, and made this interview a whole lot better.
Harper has a lot of things she enjoys in her free time, such as riding horses, which she actually considers a sport and watching Netflix. I wanted to know more, so I asked her about her favorite movie, which is “The Outsiders.” She described how her favorite song is, “Blue Over You” by Mason Ramsay. Harper loves spreading positivity to everyone, no matter who it is. That’s why her favorite feeling is being happy.
Since Thanksgiving will be coming up soon, I asked her how she was going to spend her vacation days. She commented that she is planning on going to Nashville, Tennessee to attend the CMA Fest.
Speaking of vacations, she said how she wants to go to Rome, Italy. I wanted to know why she would want to travel there, and she replied with, “It’s beautiful and I love Italians.” I asked about her dream vacation, and she said “Touring Europe.” Well, Harper, I believe you will get there one day.
Harper believes that if she could be any animal, she would be a golden retriever, because of her positivism and excited energetic personality.
Harper continuously laughed, and even offered me some of her spicy chips. I asked her what her favorite food was, and she replied with “Honey mustard wings.”I then questioned her on what she believes is the “perfect date” She said how she would love to have a picnic on the beach, under the sunset.
Harper has her opinions on many things, such as American Government and Driver’s Ed being her 2 favorite classes. She loves them, because “They are fun, and I get to have them with my besties.” I wanted to know what else she had an opinion on, and she said, “People who think everyone likes them, pick me’s.” She despises these types of people, and said that she wouldn’t want anybody to come face to face with one. They give her the ick.
As I was finishing up this interview, she said something that stuck with me, she said, “You can’t get things for free.” You should always work for everything, no matter what.
If Harper could leave her viewers with anything, she said, “Ignore the haters, and leave people on read, but with your words.” Thanks. Harper for these words of wisdom, and remember, if Harper can do it, so can we.
We ended the interview smiling and laughing, all to show that everyone is different, and the more you get to know someone, the more you may be able to relate to them.
