Senior All-State Libero Makenna Moore broke digs record held by Corry alumni Hope Hasbrouck, who graduated back in 2019, after five years.
Hasbrouck set the record to 1,434 digs (as of October 17) until Moore had 31 digs at Saegertown on October 17, when she officially took over the record. At the end of Moore’s junior season she had 1,074 digs, meaning she has had 372 digs so far this season.
Moore has several state rankings, being in the top 10 for one stat and being top 1 in Division AA for another stat. Makenna has been extremely successful throughout her volleyball career. She has been a big part of the high school varsity team since her freshman year, especially in the last three years as there was only one senior Moore’s sophomore year and then no seniors her junior year.
Makenna took on a leadership role very early in her high school career, and she is one player that Corry Volleyball will remember for years after her time on the court is over.
The volleyball team will face Grove City at Fort LeBoeuf tonight at 6 p.m., where Moore will have a chance to add more digs to her already impressive record.
Good luck to Makenna and the rest of the Corry Girls Volleyball team as they continue their journey this season.
