I believe that the perfect body is not an obtainable goal. I have three reasons to believe that the idea of the perfect body has changed over the years and is still changing. It can affect mental health, and the idea of the perfect body ignores the fact that everyone is different.
First, the idea of a perfect body has changed over the years and is still changing. The idea is also changed based on where you live and the culture around where you live. In history there have been several ideas of what the perfect body looks like such as skinny, tall, plump, short, etc. This shows that there is not one idea of a perfect body, which means that the perfect body is an unattainable goal.
Second, trying to achieve a “perfect body” can have some serious effects on your mental and physical health. Trying to achieve this unreachable goal has caused body dysmorphia, which is a mental health condition where a person spends a lot of time worrying about flaws in their appearance. Trying to get the perfect body can also affect physical health in ways such as not getting enough food or pushing your body to or past the limit.
Third, The idea of a perfect body ignores the fact that everybody is different. The idea of a perfect body ignores the fact that people are different and that everyone is unique in their own way. A person’s uniqueness gives them an identity, and if the perfect body was obtainable then no one would be special and everybody would look the same.
Altogether, the idea of the perfect body is unattainable and is fiction. The perfect body is always changing, trying to achieve it can have some negative effects, and the idea ignores the fact that everyone is different.
