On May 13, 2006, the world was blessed with Ryan Mather. A generally kind person that many people underestimate, even though Ryan has so many amazing things about him. He has a goal for other people to treat him as he wants to be treated. I’m here to tell you about Ryan so that maybe you won’t overlook him.
Ryan grew up in Corry, Pennsylvania, and attends Corry High School. He lives with his sister Kara, his mom, and dad. Both of his other siblings Logan and Malorie graduated and moved out. Ryan’s favorite subjects are math because he enjoys counting money and colors, also reading because he enjoys reading the books picked out by his teachers.
Ryan is part of the program through the school called “Cup O’ Joe.” They deliver coffee to teachers throughout the school. Ryan likes doing this because he does it with his friends and he can get out of his classroom and walk around.
When asked what animal he would match his personality to, Ryan answered dolphin without taking a second to think. He said he would be a dolphin because they are really smart and happy.
The Unified Track team is lucky to have Ryan. He really enjoys running and is really good at it. The Unified Track team is for students with disabilities and without, bringing them together as one team. Ryan also enjoys this because he can be with his friends and people who understand him. The Unified Track team works so hard but doesn’t get the recognition they deserve.
Ryan answered with “scientist” when asked what he wants to be when he grows up. I asked him why since he said his favorite subjects were reading and math. Ryan said, “Because I like to see the cool experiments”
After the interview, I thanked Ryan for doing the interview. He thanked me and walked back into his classroom with a very large smile on his face.
