It was a dark Halloween night and a girl named Amber was going to go out with her friends to a scary corn maze that she was very excited for. There have been stories about this Cornfield and its scarecrow, many people have turned up missing, even though the police have been involved. Their haunted maze is called Cornrow and is still active to this day. Amber was a little skeptical about this, but her friends begged her to go and she finally just gave in and went with them.
When they went to the haunted maze it was very run down with the rows of corn looking almost dead. The moment of seeing this, Amber instantly felt something was wrong with this place, but her friends edged her inside anyway. The man at the counter took their tickets and they went inside. There was mostly just crappy decorations and a couple animatronics that jumped out and scared them, but most importantly a weird looking scarecrow that looked almost lifelike. After getting lost multiple times they got back to a familiar spot, the one that they thought they saw the scarecrow, but it was gone. All of the sudden they heard a scratchy voice.
The strange voice said, “You are not welcome here.”
“You better leave this place.”
“If you don’t this will be the last breath you will ever breathe.”
Absolutely terrified, Amber and her friends sprinted through the corn. For what felt like hours they finally got into a clearing, but that wasn’t the end. Amber looked back to see the scarecrow running with a sharp scythe in its hands. They had to think fast, grabbing objects close to them. One of Amber’s friends had a large rock while others had sticks, including herself. As the scarecrow got into range, it swung its scythe at them, barely missing her face. She then stuck her sharp stick straight out, stabbing the scarecrow through the chest. It made a loud moaning sound as it fell to the ground, and it stopped moving entirely. Amber and her friends then ran to their cars and made their way all the way home safely.
She never went to a haunted corn maze ever again, thinking about what could have happened if they didn’t escape from the scarecrow. Later that night while Amber was sleeping she heard a strange noise through her window. She looked out and saw a strange figure outside in the woods with glowing eyes. Even though they thought they had killed this monster, they thought wrong. Now Amber goes to bed and the scarecrow is always watching and waiting.
