Over the weekend Corry’s Junior High (JV) volleyball team headed down to Lakeview for their fourth and last tournament of the season.
The Lady Beavers JV team has won three tournaments in a row and they just recently secured their fourth. This JV team is made up of seven sophomores and four freshmen. They started off the season at the Fort LeBoeuf tournament only losing one set the whole take and taking home the gold. They then headed to the Cambridge Springs tournament and didn’t lose a set all the way to winning their second tournament in a row. Down at Maplewood is where they took another tournament win under their belt without dropping a set at this tournament as well. Then their most recent tournament down in Lakeview is where their season tournament ended on a good note with zero sets lost and another win with gold medals.
At the Lakeview tournament Corry went up against teams like Grove City, Sharpsville, General McLane, and Lakeview. Each game was a breeze and Corry played well all day. They had a zero set loss day, which is stellar for this young group. In the championship Corry went head to head vs General McLane and beat them in one set to 25.
All the JV girls have left are four more games and their season comes to an end. They ended their tournament season with an incredible outcome.
