Mrs. Braswell has taught at Corry School for 21 years. She was born on March 23. She grew up in Corry with her two brothers and that is where she would attend school, and later work. After high school she would attend Geneva College for two years, then Edinboro for three, then later Gannon for one year to get her master’s degree.
I got into asking her why she got into teaching, because she mentioned that she didn’t always want to be a teacher, and do something with math. She believes that God led her to get into teaching. To continue with the subject with teaching her favorite quote fits perfectly with her job: “If students were like plants, teachers would be the water and sun to help them grow.” I believe this is a really good quote.
I decided to ask her if she had any hobbies she enjoys: she answered kayaking, pontooning, and swimming. She must really enjoy the water because she told me she would love to go to Venice and ride one of the gondolas. But she in fact does have vacation plans coming up. Mrs. Braswell and her family are going to Carson City, Nevada.
To get to know a little more about Mrs. Braswell, I asked her what her favorite food is because everyone has one, and hers is buffalo chicken pizza. She loves to watch NCIS, and any other type of detective shows. One last fun fact is her favorite color is purple.
To wrap this up I asked her two last questions and her biggest pet peeve is when people take the toothpaste bottle and squeeze from the middle and not the bottom. Finally, I asked her if she had any advice to give her readers and she told me “Don’t be afraid to try new things.”
I would like to thank Mrs. Braswell for taking time out of her day to answer these questions.
