Krista Wehan is the new middle school principal for our Corry Area Middle-High School. She was born on November 27, 1975, and has always wanted to be a teacher or a principal. She loved this opportunity because she liked the campus, administrators, superintendents, and she wanted to get back with students.
Wehan grew up in Erie with her sister (42) and attended Mercyhurst Prep where she was a swimmer. Later she went to college at Bowling Green State University. Her favorite subjects growing up were history and math.
Her husband is Irish and Scotish, and they have planned a trip to Ireland in June 2025. She has been to a lot of European countries so she is excited to see somewhere new. Wehan’s favorite movie is “Beetlejuice,” and she went to see the new one last weekend.
Wehen does not have a favorite artist, but if she had to choose it would be Janice Joplin. Her favorite color is purple. Her favorite emotion is happy, and her favorite food is sushi.
Her favorite quote is by Ruth Bader Ginsburg: “Women belong in all places where decisions are being made.”
If Wehan could describe her personality with any animal it would be a lioness. When asked what her idea of a dream vacation would be, she said “The beach, and some books.” When asked a similar question about her dream date she said “Outside, a picnic, and candles.”
Her biggest pet peeve is when there is trash on the ground. Last but not least her piece of advice that she would give her readers is “Be yourself, and try your hardest.”
