Mrs. Dunham is a new middle school counselor. This is her first year at Corry Middle-High School. She got into this job because she believes that it is important to help the students become the best people they can and prepare them to handle things as future adults. Taking psychology in high school also sparked her interest in this kind of job. She also thinks it is very important for students to know their value and that they are important.
Mrs. Dunham was born on June 16 and spent her whole life growing up in Corry. She grew up with an older sister and an older brother. She attended Corry High School her entire high school career. In high school she was in band and she was a swimmer. After high school she went to Geneva College for her undergrad. Then she went to Edinboro University for her master’s degree.
Outside of school Mrs. Dunham enjoys hiking, kayaking, warm weather and being outside. Her favorite color is teal, her favorite food is pizza and chicken. Mrs. Dunham’s biggest pet peeve is when people are rude to others because she believes everyone should respect others.
As an animal, she believes she is most similar to a dog because she is loyal, fun, loves her people, and sometimes crazy. Her idea of a perfect date is anything without phones so her and her husband can be focused on each other.
Mrs. Dunham’s dream vacation is to visit all the national parks in the United States. She’d also love to eventually visit Greece and Italy.
Her favorite quote is “Time is not refundable, use it with intention.” Mrs. Dunham’s piece of advice to her readers is you don’t have to be friends with everyone, but always make sure to show respect anyway.
