The end of high school has approached, seniors. With graduation comes a bittersweet feeling. Seniors are done with pointless elective classes, don’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn and spend their entire day at school, and can finally start their adult life. But they are also leaving behind their underclassmen friends, some amazing teachers, and their siblings/families for college.
I was curious which of these ways the senior class swung when they thought of graduation. So I took a poll and challenged seniors with this question, “Are you more excited or sad when it comes to graduation?”
Ultimately:
- 34% of seniors asked this question were more sad to be graduating, while
- 66% of them were more excited and glad to be done
Most of them responded “I feel both” when first hearing this question. Some, however, quickly exclaimed “Excited!”
Underclassmen, graduation comes fast so do not rush it. Even if you are eager to be out of school, appreciate the short time you are in high school, which is only four years!
