Help decide next year’s yearbook theme

Help+decide+next+years+yearbook+theme

Last month the 2023-2024 yearbook was distributed to the public. After months of hard work, the staff has decided to start brainstorming ideas for next year’s yearbook, a theme that will grab the attention of the student body and represent them as a whole. For the past one and a half weeks the students divided into groups creating five different concepts for the upcoming yearbook. It came down to New York City, Around the World in 180 days, Our Adventure Book, Tracks Through Time, and A Journey Through Music.

Things that make a good yearbook would be a theme that translates well to an audience. Where each section should have a clear objective and good representation. As a member of the yearbook, I decided that we should ask the student body, teachers, and administrators what theme they would like to see best for the next yearbook, since they are the consumers. Although their opinion will impact the decision made, it doesn’t determine what the final say will be. New Yearbook adviser Mrs. Turk has put together a hyperlink to the slideshow presentations of each theme.

The New York City theme would look like city elements of bright lights, tall buildings, and blossoming parks. Around the World in 180 days would follow a National Geographic theme that would consist of biomes, animals, and an aesthetic magazine layout. The Our Adventure Book theme would be like an “Up” scrapbook that would be inspired by the Disney film, with travel elements and journaling details. The Tracks Through Time theme would have a hippy style artistry, with bright soft colors and patterns. The Journey Through Music layout would revolve around music genres that are bright and exciting. The links below will take you to the slideshow concepts for each potential theme.
