Today is Pi Day. I went around the school to ask as many people as I could what their favorite pie was. Most people like Pumpkin Pie, but personally, I like Cherry. The reason we celebrate Pi Day on March 14 is because it is annually when the date numerically corresponds with the first three digits of π. The symbol π represents a constant-the ratio of the circumference of the circle to its diameter-which is approximately 3.14159.
