Movies are a big form of entertainment that is still expanding today. And since there are so many movies, there are a lot of genres as well. So, I took a poll around Corry High School to figure out what the most popular movie genres are. I asked a total of 25 people. Here are my results:
Action Adventure – 3 students
Sci-fi/comic related – 9 students
Comedy – 5 students
Depressing Dramas – 1 student
Animation/Anime – 7 students
The popular vote was Sci-fi/comic related taking 36% of all the genres. This is probably because of popular franchises like Marvel and Star Wars. Second place goes to Animation/Anime taking a total of 28% of the votes. Third is comedy with 20%. Fourth is Action Adventure with 12%. And in fifth, we have Depressing Drama movies, with only 4% of the votes.
To conclude, Sci-fi is the most popular, and Drama is the least liked according to the poll.
