I believe reading is better than watching a movie because when you’re reading, you’re in your own fantasy. You get to imagine what the characters look like by going off of the description the author provides for you. There is so much more imagination and creativity in reading a book rather than sitting and watching a movie.

I do not have any problem with movies. I love movies, but I would much rather read the book, or any book, than watch a movie. Yes, in movies you get to see what is happening for real, but it is not the same. Actors and producers cannot put every detail into a movie that the book has, so when you read the book then watch the movie, you notice a lot of detail from the book, the movie does not have.

I love reading books more than anything. They have a lot of details and when I read a book for so long, I get into it so much that I do not notice anything else around me. All I see is what the story is, I do not see the words anymore. Whatever the story is, I feel like I’m in it. In a movie, you do not get to experience that feeling.

When I watch a movie, I do not get the same feelings or emotions. But when I read a book I feel what the character is feeling. There is detail that explains exactly what happened, how it happened, and what the character is feeling.

Not to mention, reading is not only better than watching the movie because of the detail and imagination, it is also a lot better to read a book to gain more knowledge and become a better reader.
