As it gets closer to the end of February, this year’s musical “Beauty and the Beast” is right around the corner. The audition date has been announced and it is February 27. Students can not miss the chance to audition for this fun and lively show, especially because it is filled with many supporting and ensemble parts.
If you were able to see “Les Misérables” last year, you know that it takes a lot to put on a musical. From many dedicated hours of rehearsal, practicing challenging music, and memorizing choreography, there is a lot that goes into a production. The energy that you feel while putting on the performance, though, makes it worth it in every way. There’s nothing as powerful as a scene with all of the cast members on stage, singing in harmony. The build up of applause from the audience is sensational.
With all of this being said, you can’t miss this chance in being a part of this musical. The connections you form with other students and the growth that you experience musically and as a performer is incredible. Also, who wouldn’t want to be a part of an iconic Disney musical that you have been watching since you were young? If you’re interested you can join the Google Classroom with the code: QKIOA3U. The rehearsal days are as follows: Thursday, February 15 4:15-5:15, Wednesday, February 21 3:00-4:15, and Monday, February 26 3:00-5:30.
All and all, students should be on the lookout for flyers in the hallway that provide more information surrounding auditions and should consider being a part of this entertaining, iconic musical.
