Gracious Mrs. Goodwill

Getting to know our new secretary!
Gracious Mrs. Goodwill

Starting just last week, students and faculty of CAHS were introduced to a new secretary who definitely seems like she will be an amazing asset to the high school office team: Mrs. Karen Goodwill. So let us make sure that we make Mrs. Goodwill feels welcome in her many years to come!

Karen Goodwill, who has lived in Corry for five years, grew up in the lovely state of Chicago and is the middle child of two brothers. Just by being in her presence you can tell that she is a very calm and down to earth person.

When asked what made her choose this job she stated, “I chose this job to be closer to home and to be more available for my kids. Now you may be familiar with Maddie and Samantha, which are Mrs. Goodwill’s two girls. Maddie is a sophomore and Samantha graduated two years ago. And even though she’s only been here for a bit, Mrs. Goodwill says that she really enjoys it and that she loves the kids. Although I only had a short conversation with her, I felt very comfortable and felt like I could be myself and even joke around with her, which is something that I feel like all students enjoy.

Before becoming a secretary at CAHS, Goodwill worked as an office clerk for a popular trucking company, so she for sure is the right spot for this position. During her free time, when asked what she likes to do, she stated, “I like reading, crocheting, and splurging on some treats at Starbucks.”

Goodwill Seems like a free spirited kind of gal. When she has the chance she said that she would love to go on vacation and visit either Greece, because she loves the aesthetic, or Italy for the scenery and the food.

Finally, a quote that Mrs. Goodwill would like to give her readers is, “Cherish this time, but work hard.”
