Christmas is almost here, so it is time to put up our Christmas trees. Most of my life I have had an artificial tree. Other than a few years ago when my family decided to get a real tree, but not for long. Pine needles were all over the floor and it was very sappy and sticky. It soon died about a week later, so we got a new one. The next year we got a fake tree because we did not want to deal with another real one.
In my experience with fake Christmas trees, I have had multiple. The traditional green and a couple years ago, my family bought a new tree that has fake snow covering it. Ever since then we have had the same tree.
Personally, I like them both, but I have mostly had fake trees, so I guess I kind of have to like them more than real. But you do not have to worry about sap or pine needles all over the house. Also, you do not have to worry about it dying before Christmas is over. Although, you have to make sure a real tree does not die, I do not mind having a real tree. Yes, they are messy, but there are some good things about having a real tree, such as it smells like nature and pine.
Along with my opinion on real and fake trees, I also went around the school and asked other people what their preference was. Altogether I asked 50 students and teachers. Twenty-nine people preferred real and 21 people preferred artificial. Real trees ended up being the most popular.
