First Fridays is an event that happens the first Friday of every month from May to December across the country.  The next First Friday is December 1. There is always a theme to the event, so this year’s, December, First Friday is themed, “Christmas in Corry.” There will be local stores open to shop at, that are decorated in festive Christmas décor.

At the Twisted Sisters’ café there will be hot chocolate, a cousin Eddie costume contest, and a big snow globe to check out and take pictures with. Along with all of those fun activities, there will also be a “Holiday Decorating Showdown” for the decorating aficionados. They will be in teams of four and will be racing to create an outstanding display that will win the judges over. If they have family and friends there to cheer them on, they will gain extra bonus points. The winner will get a cash prize.

So if you are not busy or doing anything, come down to Corry, have fun, drink hot chocolate, and celebrate this special day. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be there, so make sure to bring your children or siblings.
